Spring: A Fresh Beginning

Hello, sweet friends!!

Here I am sharing my project which I made using supplies from Lindy's Gang and Itsy Bitsy store.
I enjoyed a lot making my very first Mixed Media Tags.

This project is my entry for PRIKA All About Crafts- Blog, and as per theme of current challenge,  "Old Turned New".

I was so much inspired with the mood board of March Challenge at Lindy's Gang blog.  These colors are so springy and eye soothing. So I decided to choose the color scheme as per Lindy's color challenge graphic, because I wanna play with them too.

Here I am sharing a short and crisp tutorial for these Mixed Media Tags.

Started making these cute tags by using some old cerelac boxes, as these box are so good in density.

Done some die cutting using metal dies.

Then covered the tags using Mont Marte modelling paste, created some texture (streaks) with the help of brush.

Done some more stenciling to add some phrases to my tags, as I wanted to gift these tags to one of my crafty friend.
Once dry, I used loads of Lindy's sprays and magical shakers to give them colorful background and then after drying properly, outlined the some texture along with phrases using black permanent (OHP) maker.

Placed some little birdie flowers along with some die cut elements. I used some Lindy's sprays for coloring the die cuts and cheese cloth pieces which added by me decorate these cute tags.

At the end, I used some sentiments from Tim Holtz idea-Ology metallic stickers to finish these cute tags.

And here are some more close ups:

Someone See A Weed, Someone See A Wish: Crafty Cardmakers #208 (Bunnies, chicks or eggs)

Hello My Creative Friends!!

It's Monika from UrooCreations going to share a new mixed media card. I am so excited to share this post as my first DT inspiration for our Crafty Cardmakers Challenge Blog. As the theme for current challenge says something Bunnies, Chicks or Eggs, so I decided to make a card by using some miniature eggs to go with the theme and made this mixed media card.

This challenge #208 specially with the theme of Bunnies, Chicks or Eggs.

As we all are enjoying this lovely spring season, here I am sharing my card inspired with some springy flowers, weeds and eggs.

This quote from Pinterest inspired me a lot.

Here is my card "Someone See A Weed, Someone See A Wish"

I decided to make a handmade card with full of spring colors, flowers and weeds. As current challenge on Lindy's Gang inspired me the most to create something combining both Spring and Easter theme. So I made this mixed media card to participate into March challenge at Lindy's Gang blog. I used spring inspired colors of Lindy's sprays, Mont Marte acrylic paints, Tim Holtz idea-Ology metallic stickers, ready made flowers, leaves and weeds die cuts, natural brown hemp twine, miniature eggs, cheese cloth and other supplies from my stash.

You can watch an easy and crisp tutorial for this card on UrooCreations YouTube Channel.

Hope you love this mixed media card as much as I do.

So Sweet of You: Little Birdie Crafts

Hello My Creative Friends!!

I made this mixed media canvas for the amazing challenge at More Than Words Blog.
Here is the mood board of Main challenge at More Than Words.

Word Inspiration "Comfortable"
and
Creative Challenge "Color Combo"

The word inspiration "Comfortable" inspired me the most and when I thought about this word it reminded me to create something using this amazing picture of a cute boy. Look at the picture, how comfortably, he was while his photo shoot. This cute boy looking so adorable and relaxed. For me, my family is everything which makes me feel more comfortable. Specially my caring husband and my little boy. They bring me joy and give meaning to my life. I always feel comfortable making projects for my 2 and half YO boy. My boy always feel so shy while his photography and I wish as he grows, I want to make him more comfortable with camera, so I can make loads of art pieces to decorate my sweet home, using his cute photos. My home is most comfortable place for me and I love to decorate my sweet home with one of a kind art pieces and here this is very first addition to my home decor.
This Color Combo is my all time favorite and suited so perfectly with the picture of this cute boy.  I used purple, lavender, blue/light green along with white. Colored the chipboard sentiment "Love You To The Moon And Back" with dark color and tried to depict some amazing colors from Creative Challenge.

I made this project by altering a rectangle flourish placemat, I used loads of supplies from my favorite craft stores like Itsy Bitsy and Lindy's Gang. I always adore their craft supplies. I am in love with Itsy Bitsy in house line Little Birdie Crafts so much. These flowers are so easy to use and always add extra charm to any project.
I made this canvas specially for my little munchkin to preserve some memories of his childhood. I just love the way it turned out.

Few more close-ups:

Hope you love it too as much as I do.
I love to thank my some sweet inspirations mainly Marta, MarilynDi Garling and all my sweet and talented crafty friends who always inspire me to create something beyond my limits. I am really grateful to all of you, my dearies.
